Below you will find some samples of my published work. Much of my published work is unavailable publicly as it was developed for internal Boeing projects under strict confidentiality and proprietary restrictions. However, the selected pieces here represent my publicly releasable writing, editing and communication work. They showcase my ability to deliver clear, precise, and audience-appropriate content across technical, professional and promotional contexts.  This section is still under construction, keep checking back as I add to it and showcase my work!

WORK HISTORY

Northwest Autism Center Spokane, WA April 2022-present
Marketing and Media Manager overseeing all digital media, content creation and public outreach efforts. I manage brand awareness campaigns, lead creative advertising and event promotion, and produce video and written content across multiple platforms, from social media and email to the website. I collaborate with leadership and community teams on strategy, storytelling and campaign execution, ensuring every project strengthens awareness and engagement. I also direct major annual events, create educational and fundraising materials and develop media that connects people to the mission and heart of the organization.

Washington State Department of Transportation Shoreline, WA Feb 2020-Oct 2021
Communications Supervisor for Traffic, Maintenance and Operations with the Northwest Region Communications team. Reporting directly to the NWR Communications Manager, identifying, developing and implementing strategic communications for maintenance, operations, traffic, incident/emergency response and social media for the Northwest Region. Leading day-to-day communications efforts as well as creating and leading forward looking, multi-year communications and community engagement plans for high-profile/high-impact projects and programs. Responsible for developing long-term strategic communications campaigns and community engagement strategies and responding to frequent reporter inquiries at the local, regional and national level, and assisting media outlets with diverse needs in a timely, effective, professional and creative manner.

Construction Communications Consultant with the Northwest Region Communications team. In this position I worked independently and as part of team to create, lead, direct and control communications campaigns and respond to public and media inquiries regarding WSDOT design and construction projects. In addition, responsibilities included responding to frequent inquiries from community groups, reporters, stakeholders, and coordinating messaging for internal and external audiences. Created transparency for the agency, helping to build trust, maintain public confidence, and support people and goods traveling safely.

 

The Boeing Company Everett, WA September 2014-February 2020 

Project Manager with Business Operations at the Electrical Services Responsibility Center. Responsibilities included driving affordability through application of project management tools and techniques. This is being achieved by setting affordability targets and managing a positive return on investment. This role requires working directly with stakeholders and executives to align the business strategy with projects in work. 

Technical Project Manager for IT&DA as part of the Enterprise Architecture team. In this role I supported the 2nd Century Enterprise Systems initiative that is tasked with managing technology-enabled change. Responsibilities included creating content to educate our stakeholders, planning and scheduling deliverables, nurturing a strong network with key business partners and increasing the influence of our enterprise architects.

Communications Specialist for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. As a multimedia journalist with a focus on video production I developed and carried out communications plans that featured employee accomplishments through video and print. Telling the story from the employee perspective, as well as clearly explaining how issues and initiatives affect Commercial Airplanes employees, my responsibilities included: 

• Researching, writing, shooting and editing videos to cover events and features for Boeing daily online news, Boeing.com and social media channels (use of Premiere Pro CS6 and CC, After Effects, Panasonic  AVDC Cam) 

• Reaching out to team members across the business unit and the enterprise to integrate strategies and coordinate activities 

• Advising executives or senior management on using internal communication to meet business goals • Translating technical issues into everyday language 

• Prioritizing and managing projects from start to finish, including the review and approval of materials produced

• Collaborating on teams, giving creative input to projects and demonstrating an understanding of the company culture 

• Using communication tools available, including website, online daily news, video and mass email messages. 

• Exploring and using new technology or communication tools where appropriate 

• Working with reporters, media and news outlets to tell the Boeing story

KREM 2 News Spokane, WA August 2010-August 2014 

Editor, Reporter and Photographer for the weekday morning news show. Daily responsibilities include editing all video content for the show, writing and editing scripts, generating story ideas, responding to breaking news   overnight and appearing on-air as a reporter. Also responsible for operating livetrucks , Sony XDCamEX Cameras, and non-linear editing equipment (premiere-pro) 

 

United States Peace Corps Grenada, West Indies 2006-2008  
As a
Community Development Specialist, responsibilities included asset based community development and training of community leaders for sustainable community focused projects. KEY ACHIEVEMENTS: 

• Partnered with various community groups to implement multiple strategic development projects and fundraising efforts. 

• Applied for and received a US grant from the Presidential Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief, which was used to develop and implement a highly effective and successful HIV/AIDS awareness campaign targeting youth within the surrounding community.
